Amazon’s Anime Strike Streaming Service Shut Down
Posted on 6th January, 2018 - By Dan Whiteside
After being live for only 1 year, Amazon have decided to shut down it’s streaming service Anime Strike. What does this mean for dedicated Anime streaming services in the future?
I can only imagine that Anime Strike was shut down due to being behind a double pay wall. Having to subscribe to Amazon Prime, then a further subscription to join the Anime Streaming channel just seems ridiculous and extremely greedy in today’s market.
Especially when you have similar offerings at a fraction of the price; such as Crunyroll from between £4.99 to 8.99 a month or using FunimationNow which starts at £4.99 a month.
Good News for Anime Strike Subscribers
Luckily enough, Amazon Prime Video is inheriting all the anime previously offered by their Anime service at no extra cost. Which makes the cost of using Amazon Prime a little more bearable now that you don’t need to pay twice to get your anime fix!
