Awesome ‘Logan’ Movie Posters

Artwork on an Adamantium Scale

Having recently re-watched James Mangold‘s swansong to the X-Men / Logan story arc, I thought I’d share five posters that I feel capture the tone of the film perfectly.

Now this wasn’t easy, as there is a plethora of fantastic artwork out there to browse, both professional and fan-made.

For me, the main reason I chose these five particular posters; is because it is clear that a lot of passion has gone into the artwork, showing respect for the source material itself.

#5. LOGAN Noir

This ‘Logan Noir’ Alternative Movie poster was created by Professional Digital Artist: Ignacio Roberto Cotelo Rodríguez.

Logan 5

Why I Like It:

You can almost feel the grit and intensity this film carries from the poster alone. If you reached out to touch it, you’d be forgiven for expecting the charcoal to smudge onto your fingers. Plus, the use of light on each of the characters really lifts them off the page.

If you like what you see, drop him a friendly comment on his Logan Noir DeviantArt page.

#4. Logan IMAX

This Logan IMAX poster was created by Professional Digital Artist: Dave Rapoza.

Logan 4

Why I Like It:

The colours, combined with the white frame and black text in the footer; truly make the poster fit with the film director James Mangold went for. A western, with Logan in it. What else could you ask for?!

If you like what you see, let him know on his Logan IMAX Poster page.

#3. Logan ‘Tribute’ – His Time Has Come

This Logan ‘Tribute’ poster was created by Digital Artist: Felix Tindall (shrimpy99).

Logan 3

Why I Like It:

The simplistic style combined for the colour palette used; really captures the mood of the film perfectly. Plus sometimes, less; is more.

If you like what you see, give him a shout on the page for his Logan ‘Tribute’ poster.

#2. Logan ‘Tribute’ – One Last Time

The next Logan ‘Tribute’ poster was created by Digital Artist: Talha Khan (atalakhan).

Logan 2

Why I Like It:

Another case of less is more again here. But this time, the way the characters and limo have been structured to help make up the capital ‘L’ for Logan, on the plain white background works really well.

If you like what you see, let him know your thoughts on his Logan ‘Tribute’ Poster page.

#1. LOGAN International

This LOGAN International movie poster was commissioned by 20th Century FOX, and created by Professional Digital Artist: JP Targete.

Logan 1

Why I Like It:

The colour combination help strengthen the message that the Logan in this movie is weary, whilst having an element of finality to it. A simple scenario of Logan staring into the mirror, seeing Laura (a.k.a. X-23) staring straight back. He sees himself in her. The anger. The ferocity. The danger. Her future.

If you like what you see, drop a kind comment on the page for his Logan International page.
