God of War – PlayStation PGW 2017 Gameplay Trailer

An Expensive Year For Gamers

Well folks, 2018 is definitely going to make our wallets lighter. There’s so many games I can’t wait to play, so lets jump right into it. At PlayStation PGW, we got to see a bunch of awesome new trailers for some of the most anticipated games set for 2018. One of these, is a 2:03 minute trailer for the upcoming God of War – developed by Santa Monica Studio.

I’ve never played any of the God of War games, but when I saw the first trailer for this next instalment, I knew I needed to own it.

This game looks incredibly gorgeous and the gameplay seems to run nice and smoothly. We also see some combat, however short. Check it out!

In the trailer, we see Kratos exploring an underground area with his Son and engage a few enemies with that awesome Axe. That’s one thing I love, it’s awesome how Kratos‘ Axe comes back to him, not unlike Thor‘s Hammer.

We also get a glimpse of a new enemy at the end of the trailer. This character looks to be some sort of Shaman or Witch. What do you think this enemy is capable of? Will Kratos struggle defeating it? I’m sure there’s tonnes of awesome enemies in God of War, and I can’t wait to slay them all.

From Greek to Norse Mythology

I know that all throughout the previous games, the setting has always been Greek mythology, but I was never too interested. However, with the shift to Norse mythology, my interest has peaked. Plus, who doesn’t love to see snow in games? Especially when the graphics are this great!

Personally, I think it’s a great move to expand beyond the Greek mythology, but what do you think? Let us know in the comments below and get involved. Also, do you think I need to play the previous God of War games to fully appreciate the new one?
